Physics notes

v1.0

Velocity magnitude is sacred
Every paddle reflection re-normalises to a constant 3.44 px/frame. Only the angle changes.
Where you hit is how it leaves
Offset across the 60px paddle maps to ±60° from vertical — edges fling the ball wide, the centre returns it straight.
One brick per frame
Circle-vs-AABB candidates are ranked by time-of-impact; only the closest resolves, then the ball is pushed clear along the surface normal so it can never tunnel or stick.
Fixed 16.7 ms steps
Physics runs on an accumulator, so a 144 Hz display doesn't play faster than a 320 px phone.
